Final Fantasy 4  ( 2 US ) Boss Guide

Mist Dragon  Hp : 465  Weaknesses :  None

A very easy boss, just have Cecil attack and Kain jump. If it turns into a mist, wait till it changes back to a dragon, then continue to attack. Use Cure1 items if you get low on hp.
 

Octomamm    Hp : 2300    Weaknesses : Lightning, Darkness

Just have Cecil attack, Rydia call Chocobo and Tellah use either Lit1 for attacking or Cure2 for healing. It'll be dead in no time.
 

  Antlion  Hp : 1000   Weaknesses :  None

The best way to kill it is to have Edward and Cecil parry at all times while Rydia calls the Chocobo. With this method, you'll probably won't need to heal.

Mombomb  Hp : 10 800  Weaknesses : Darkness

 Have all your fighters ( Cecil, Edward, Yang ) attack while Rydia calls Chocobo,  Rosa heals the party with Cure1. Once it explodes, it becomes 3 Bombs and 3  Gray Bombs. Have Cecil attack the Gray Bombs, Edward attack the Bombs,  Yang Kick on all enemies, while Rydia call the Chocobo and Rosa uses Cure1  on the party.

  Milon   Hp : 3100   Weaknesses : Fire

Have Cecil attack, Tellah use Fire1 or Cure2, Palom use Fire2 and Porom use Cure2 to heal the party. Be aware that Milon counters with Lit1 everytime you hit him. Get rid of the zombies ASAP and this will be an easy battle.
 

Milon Z.   Hp : 3000  Weaknesses :  Fire, Cure

Have Cecil attack, Tellah use Fire1 or Cure2 on  Milon Z. Palom should cast Fire2 while Porom uses Cure2 to heal the party. Don't worry if you get poisoned, the fight will be quick.

  Baigan  Hp : 3500   Weaknesses :  None

Have Tellah cast either Fire3, Lit3 or Ice3 on the body, Baigan will cast Wall, now kill one arm at a time using Palom's Virus spell, while Cecil and Yang keep attacking the body, have Tellah parry for 2-3 rounds while Porom heals the party with Cure2. After three rounds, go ahead and have Tellah or Palom finish off the body with spells.  If the arms were revived, then finish them quickly cause they tend to explode on your members.

   Kainazzo  Hp : 4000    Weaknesses :  Lightning, Ice

  This guy's a joke ! Just wait till he surrounds himself in water and have Tellah cast Lit3, if he ain't dead, use Palom's Virus   to kill him off.

  Dark Elf  Hp : 22 000  Weaknesses :  None

You can't win against him now.... but when Edward plays his harp, you can dish out plenty of damage using physical attacks.

Dark Dragon   Hp : 3000   Weaknesses :  Weak

Just have Tellah cast Weak on it, have your next character attack.  Boom, he's out !  :)

The Three Magus Sisters

Sandy(Tall) Hp : 2500 Weaknesses : None
Cindy(Fat) Hp : 4300  Weaknesses : None
Mindy(Baby)  Hp : 2200  Weaknesses : None

Have Cecil and Yang attack Cindy constantly, Cid can either attack Cindy or use the Earth Hammer in battle to cast Quake. When Sandy casts the second Wall on Cindy, it will bouce back on one of your members, have Tellah cast either Fire3, Lit3 or Ice3 on the one who has Wall, you have one in three chances of hitting Cindy. Once Cindy bites the dust, finish the others using attacks and magic. Cure at times since their Delta Attack hurts.
 

  Valvalis  Hp : 6000   Weaknesses : None

The key to beating Valvalis is to have Kain jump at all times. Cecil, Yang, Cid should attack while Rosa uses Cure2 or Heal depending on the situation.
 

Cal( Blue) Hp : 300  Weaknesses : None
Brena(Red) Hp : 1000  Weaknesses : None
Calbrena(Giant doll)  Hp : 4624  Weaknesses : None

Just attack the Cals first since their hps are low, finish off the Brenas if you can, otherwise they'll combine into Calbrena. Have Cecil and Cid attack, Kain should jump while Rosa cures or heals. ( It can charm you )
 
 

Golbez  Hp : 2000  Weaknesses : None

You won't be able to anything until Rydia shows up, once she does have her call Jinn while Cecil attacks. That's all.
 

Dr. Lugae(1st form)  Hp : 4416  Weaknesses : None
Balnab Hp : 3927  Weaknesses : None

These two aren't tough to beat, have Rydia cast Virus, Cecil attack, Yang attack, Kain jump and Rosa use Cure3(If needed). Make sure you take out Balnab first since he tends to explode if he's around for too long, Dr. Lugae might take over him, if he does, finish him off ASAP.

  Dr. Lugae (2nd form) Hp: 6600  Weaknesses : None

Use the same strategy as above, Virus really does alot of damage.
 

   King & Queen Eblan  Hp: 60 000(each)   Weaknesses : None

Just stay put until they gain consciousness, heal if your hps get low.  They'll commit suicide.

Rubicant  Hp : 25 200   Weaknesses : Ice(When cape is open)

Have Cecil attack, Kain jump, Edge cast Flood(needs timing), Rydia call Shiva (needs timing) while Rosa uses Cure3 or Life1 depending on the situation. If Rubicant casts Glare, it will usually kill a member, if more than one member is slain(except Edge), have Edge cast Flame on Rubicant, he will take damage and revive your dead members. Start casting Flood and Shiva while Rubicant still has his cape closed, if timed well, it will nail him once he opens his cape.
 

  Trap Door

Ok, he's no boss, but you encounter lots of these in the Sealed Cave and are pretty tough to deal with. Here is a sure fire way to get them without too much trouble, although it requires a bit of level building. First of all, buy plenty of Life potions and Cure2 potions, you'll need them. Then make sure Rosa is at Level 34, so she knows Wall which is very useful for beating those monsters. When ever you encounter a Trap Door, wait until it uses it's Disrupt spell, which kills instantly. Have a character other than Rosa use a Life potion on the dead member, then have everyone parry until Rosa gets her turn, notice the Trap Door's next victim( it will always use Search before Disrupt ), then have Rosa cast Wall on that member, if done successfully, the Disrupt will bounce back to the Trap Door, killing it. This little trick saves you time and trouble and allows everyone to get their share of the exp. it gives.

Evilwall  Hp : 19 000   Weaknesses : None

Have Cecil attack, Kain jump, Edge throw Shirukens, Rydia cast Virus, Rosa Bersk or cure everyone with Cure4(you should have it by now). Try to be quick since if Evilwall gets too close he starts using Crush, which kills one member instantly. Make sure you Bersk Cecil at the begining and Bersk Edge once he runs out of Shirukens.

  Asura  Hp : 23 000   Weaknesses : None

Start off by casting Wall on Asura, so all her spells will bounce back on your members.  Bersk Cecil and Edge, Rydia should call Titan while Rosa heals.(If necessary) Cure often since Asura can hit up to 1000 + damage to a member.

  Leviathan   Hp : 35 000   Weaknesses : Ice, Thunder

Bersk Cecil only, Edge should cast Blitz, Rydia should cast Ice3(If she has it) or call Indra, Rosa should cast Cure4 at all rounds. His Tidal Wave isin't too strong, his Ice2 does lots of damage, so don't fall back on the healing.

  Odin  Hp : 20 500   Weaknesses : Thunder

Challenging Odin is a breeze if Rydia has Lit3, have her use it to do 9999 damage to Odin, Cecil should attack, Edge cast Blitz, (if Kain is with you, jump) Rosa can attack for once since curing is useless. Note that you have 1 minute to kill Odin, so be quick on taking him out. If you don't kill him in time, he'll kill you with Atom Edge.(6000 + damage to everyone)

  Behemoth  Hp : 16 000   Weaknesses : None

You'll encounter 3 of these in Bahamut's cave, they're pretty tough.  Have Cecil attack, Edge attack, Rydia call Leviathan, Fusoya cast Nuke while Rosa casts Cure4. Make sure you're healthy while fighting them. They can hit up to 1200 damage to a member.

  Bahamut  Hp : 37 000  Weaknesses : None

Have Cecil and Edge attack, Rydia call Leviathan, Rosa and Fusoya should cast Wall on themselves, then on Cecil and Rydia. Bahamut begins by making a countdown from 5 to 0, once it reaches 0 he uses MegaNuke that does 7000 + damage to anyone who isin't protected by Wall, a part of his attack will bouce back to him, doing 9999 damage to him. After MegaNuke, he resumes the 5 to 0 countdown, you should be able to kill him before he can unleash a 2nd MegaNuke.

The Elementals

Milon  Hp : 25 000-30 000    Weaknesses : Fire
Rubicant  Hp : 25 000-30 000  Weaknesses : Ice
Kainazzo  Hp : 20 000-25 000  Weaknesses : Thunder, Ice
Valvalis  Hp : 20 000-25 000  Weaknesses : None

You start off by attacking Milon, have Cecil attack, Edge cast Flame, Rydia cast Fire3 or call Jinn, Fusoya cast Fire3 and Rosa heal the team with Cure4. When fighting Rubicant, Cecil should attack, Edge cast Flood, Rydia cast Ice3 or call Leviathan, Fusoya cast Ice3 while Rosa cures. With Kainazzo, have Cecil attack, Edge cast Blitz, Rydia call Indra or cast Lit3, Fusoya cast Lit3 and Rosa cure.  Valvalis however won't go down easily, she can cast Storm ( Weak on everyone ), so have Cecil attack, Edge attack, Rydia call Asura ( if weak ) or call Bahamut, Fusoya should cast Nuke while Rosa cures.
 

  
 
                   
Cpu and Attacker, Defender

Cpu  Hp : 20 000  Weaknesses : None
Attacker, Defender  Hp : 2000  Weaknesses : None

When you start the battle, the Cpu will cast Wall on itself, so forget about magic.  Take out the Defender first, so the Cpu won't get healed, but don't kill the Attacker, you'll get killed by Globe99 if you do. ( 9999 damage to 2 or 3 members ) Cecil should attack, Edge can attack, but if he has lots of throwing weapons, by all means throw, Rydia and Fusoya should attack while Rosa cures, the Attacker will use an attack called Maser that does 200-500 damage to everyone. When the Cpu dies, go ahead and use magic to kill the Defender.
 

Pale Dim  Hp : 27 300  Weaknesses : None

The big tip here is to cast Float on everyone before fighting it, doing this will cause its occasionnal Quake spell to be useless. It uses Slow often and can hit up to 1300 + damage to a member. Cecil attack, Edge attack ot throw, Rydia call Bahamut, Kain jump and Rosa use Cure4 or Life2.
 

Wyvern  Hp : 25 000  Weaknesses : None

Quite possibly the toughest boss in FF4, even thougher than the last boss.  He starts out by casting MegaNuke which may kill everyone, if not then revive Rosa if she died, then have her cast Life2 to the other dead members.  Cecil should attack, Edge as well, Rydia call Bahamut, Kain jump as always.  The Wyvern casts a Wall on himself then casts Nuke on himself, so that it bounces back on your members. Smart guy ;) .
 

Plague  Hp : 28 000  Weaknesses : None

The Plague is a bit like Odin, it's just you have less time to kill him.  All he does is cast Count on all 5 and you got 15-20 seconds to kill him. Cecil should attack, Edge throw a strong weapon, Rydia call Bahamut, Kain jump and Rosa cast White. If you're lucky, it'll die as the 00 counter shows up.

Lunar Dragons  Hp : 21 000  Weaknesses : Fire

They're like Wyvern, but use a less deadly attack, they cast Wall on themselves, followed by a bombardment of Virus spells. If Cecil has the Crystal Sword, it will do 9999 damage to them.  Edge should attack, Kain jump, Rydia call Bahamut and Rosa cast Cure4.
 

Ogopogo  Hp : 37 000  Weaknesses : None

Like Leviathan, he uses the Tidal Wave, but he can do it twice in a row, causing 1000 + damage to everyone.  Have Cecil attack, Edge attack or throw the Excalibur (8000+ damage ), Rydia call Bahamut, Kain jump and Rosa cast Cure4.
