FF5 Boss Strategies
Wing Raptor Hp : 250 Weaknesses : None
He shouldn't pose any threat, all you need to do is attack while it has it's wings
open, when it covers itself with the wings, guard until he opens them back.
Karlabos Hp : 650 Weaknesses : Bolt
Have the knight attack, the blue mage use Goblin Punch or Aero, the white mage use Cure and the black wizard use Bolt. You can also use the thief and monk for attacking.
Siren Hp : 900 Weaknesses : Cure, Fire
While the siren is white, use physical attacks, when it becomes red, Cure, Aero and Fire are all effective. While being red, it can do up to 100 + damage to a member, you'll need to cure afterwards.
Magisa & Forza
Hp : 650 for Magisa and 850 for Forza Weaknesses : None
If you have Goblin Punch, this can be an easy battle, in condition that your blue mage is at level 8, it will do 500 + damage to both of them. If you can finish off Magisa in the first two rounds, you won't have to fight Forza. If you must fight Forza, use Goblin Punch to take him out quickly. You might need to cure, so have a white mage in your party. Note : if your party's levels are higher than 8, monks are effective.
Galura Hp : 1200 Weaknesses : None
He can be a bit harsh on the party, the best way to fight him is to cast Frog Song on Galura, make sure your white mage casts Quiet every round to disable Galura from casting Toad that would change him back to normal. Have the knight, monk, theif attack while the black wizard use any spells you wish. Note : Frog Song is a Blue Magic, learn it from the Elf Toad encountered in the tower. You must defeat all but one toad, then wait until it casts it on your blue mage, to get it ASAP, make four Blue Mages before going for that magic.
Liquid Flame Hp : 3000 Weaknesses : Ice
You shouldn't have much trouble beating him, just have your Black Wizard cast Ice2 and your White Mage cast Cure2 on everyone. The other members should help in healing. When it turns into a giant hand, don't use any black magics as it do nothing to it, wait until it takes some other form and resume the casting until it dies.
IronClaw Hp : 900 Weaknesses : None
He has a good skill, so I reccomend having four Blue Mages so you can learn the "
Death Claw " . Just sit there and wait until he does it on a member, then let him
have it with Blue or Black Magics. He should kick the bucket pretty fast . ^_^
Byblos Hp : 3600 Weaknesses : Fire
There are two ways to kill him, you can use Fire2 and Ifrit on him and heal with Cure2, or you can use Death Claw, if it succeeds, one more hit will take him out.
Sandworm Hp : 3000 Weaknesses : Ice, Water
Again two ways, use Ice 2 on him, cure with Cure2, or you can use " Aquabreath " learnt from D. Chimera. ( A tough enemy ) One shot of Aquabreath will kill him.
Crayclaw Hp : 2000 Weaknesses : Bolt
This one' easy, just cast Bolt2 and cure with Cure2, should die in 2-3 rounds.
Adamant T. Hp : 2000 Weaknesses : Ice
You can use Ice 2 or you can use Level 5 Doom since his level is 20. If you choose to to use Ice2, cure every round as he deals lots of damage.
Sol Cannon Hp : 22 500 Weaknesses : Thunder
Use a few ninjas in this battle and have them throw the BoltTech items while a white mage heals with Cure2. The Launchers are vulnerable to Level 5 Doom, so have a Blue Mage in your team.
ArcheoAvis Hp : 6400, after
being revived : 2500
Weaknesses : Varies
If you remember # 024 from FF6, get ready for a tough fight, he can use Barrier Change anytime he pleases, the only thing is that there is no warning whatsoever when he changes to a new weakness. The best way to beat him is to make 4 Blue Mages and use BlowFish constantly. Using this, you may not even need to heal.
Abductor Hp : 1500
Weaknesses : None
Don't worry if you lose, no need to win this one, if you win all you get is an ether and a
gift...., if you lose, you'll end up meeting Exdeath and Gilgamesh. ( No fight, yet )
Gilgamesh Hp : 2000 Weaknesses : None
This is a showdown with Galuf & Gilgamesh. Simply use BlowFish a few times and he's off. ( What a joke ! :P )
Gilgamesh Hp : 4000 ( approx. ) Weaknesses : None
This time, he's a bit tougher, especially if he gets the chance to cast Safe, Shell and Fast. The best way to take him easily, is to cast Quiet on him so he won't be able to cast his defense magics. Then use the Samurai's Gp Toss and the Blue Mage's BlowFish for an easy win. ( Notice the battle music while fighting him now, pretty cool, huh ? :) )
Tyrasaurus Hp : 5000
Weaknesses : Fire, Cure
To make this battle really short, give him a fenix down or try casting Raise ( Life ) on
him. If that dosen't work, use Gp Toss or even better, BlowFish !
Hiryuusou Hp : 12
000 Weaknesses : None
Try using Death Claw, if that dosen't work, the Samurai's Gp Toss will.
Gilgamesh & Enkidou
Hp : 9000 ( approx. ) for Gilgamesh and 4000 for Enkidou Weaknesses : None for both
Use Death Claw on Enkidou, kill him fast cause he can and will heal himself and Gilgamesh with White Wind. Use whatever attacks you feel like for Gilgamesh. Cure if needed. ( Note : If you haven't got Death Claw with IronClaw, here's your second chance to get it. )
Atomos Hp : 19 997
Weaknesses : None
He will use Comet on someone until he/she dies, then go ahead and use Gp Toss and Blowfish
to deliver the damage. Atomos can use Demi, Quartr and Slow2. Don't bother healing at all,
just give him all you've got and you should win.
The Sealed Hp : 7777 ( all 4 of em
) Weaknesses : None
Cast Float and then a few Gp Toss should kill them, if you're lucky, you might learn
Aero3. Kill them quickly cause they start using Level 3 elementals when weak.
Exdeath Hp : ??????? Weaknesses : ??????
This is a one on one between Galuf and Exdeath, I'll let you see this by yourself... Make sure Galuf is a strong fighter or Magic user or this will take forever.... No need to heal.
Gilgamesh Hp : ?????
Weaknesses : None
Just use whatever you like, jusy make sure you can use Cure3 and Esna at anytime during
the battle, after a while, well......
Exdeath Hp : 32 768
Weaknesses : None
A Caller ( Summoner ) will help here. Have him/her cast Carbunkle, then Golem. Have the
caller recast those spells if necessary. Make sure someone can use the Level 3 Elementals,
have him/her cast either Fire3/Ice3/Bolt3 on your party ( don't worry, Carbunkle gives
reflect to everyone ). Heal by using Items or White Wind.
Antlion Hp : 8000
Weaknesses : None
Simply use BlowFish since he will use an attack that halves your level, making other
spells and attacks useless. Cure if needed.
Merugene Hp : 20
000 Weaknesses : Varies
Make sure someone knows white magic or Blue Mage ability Peep to see her weakness.
Do this often and cure since her level 3 elementals can be devastating.
Stalker Hp : 20 000
Weaknesses : None
The best way to get him is to use Gp Toss, you might want to have a Blue Mage or someone
with Blue Mage ability Learning, so you can learn Mind Blast. Make sure someone can heal
after it uses Blaze, if you have Ice Shield, the Blaze will heal you.
Minotaur Hp : 19 850
Weaknesses : None
Have two Samurais here and use Gp Toss. Don't waste turns using potions, just wail at him.
Omniscient Hp : 16 999
Weaknesses : Wind
Have a Caller here and use Carbunkle, recast it every 3 rounds, simply refelect your
strongest magics so that they'll hit him, if you must cure use White Wind. Be careful,
before dying, he'll cast Flare, so it is critical that either the two members are alive or
that the remaning one still has the reflect status.
Triton ( Red ) Hp : 13 333 Weaknesses : Ice, Cure
Neregeid ( Blue ) Hp : 13 333 Weaknesses : Fire, Cure
Phobos ( Green ) Hp : 13 333 Weaknesses : Earth
The only way I could beat them was with Gp Toss, I simply used it three times and they were history. Your reward the Ultimate Time Magic Meteo :) .
Bahamut Hp : 40 000
Weaknesses : None
He is very tough, I reccomend using Gp Toss, but make sure someone has alot of hp and has
the Shell status, only in this way will he/she survive Bahamut's MegaFlare, he usually
does this before you give him the last hit.
Gogo Hp : ?????
Weaknesses : ?????
Simply stay put and wait, he'll give up eventually.
Leviathan Hp : 40 000
Weaknesses : Bolt
If you're fortunate enough to have either Coral Rings or Blue Magic Big Guard, this will
be easy, otherwise use Bolt3 and cure often, the Tidal Wave hurts alot.
Carfisteri Hp : 18 000
Weaknesses : None
She will most likely cast Reflect on herself, so you'll have to use Meteo, any Call magics
and Blue Magic BlowFish to do damage. Cure if you need to.
Apanda Hp : 22 200
Weaknesses : Fire
Use Fire3, Meteo and any other strong attacks, but be sure to heal after he uses Drain.
Apocalypse Hp : 27 900
Weaknesses : Poison
Make 4 Black Mages and use Bio, just make sure one of your members has either White Magic
or Blue Magic as secondary ability for healing.
Catastrophe Hp : 19
997 Weaknesses : None
Cast Float every round and use Flare, Holy, and if you can Meteo, you'll need to cure
after he uses Earth Shaker. Use Esna or Soft to cure Devil's Eye. (Petrify)
Halicarnas Hp : 33
333 Weaknesses : None
Make sure you have lots of " Maiden Kiss " items to cure from the "
Kurururu " attack. It would be a good idea to cast Carbunkle, as the Holy spell
does 9999 damage to one of your members. Use Flare, Holy and Meteo to attack, Gp Toss is
ok too. Be sure to cure every now and then, you might even need to use Arise
(Life2).
TwinTania Hp : 50
000 Weaknesses : Holy, Water
Use Holy to hurt him good and cure VERY often, if you are using 4 White Mages, that could
be an advantage, because you'll need Shell to survive GigaFlare, rumor has it it is more
powerful than Bahamut's MegaFlare. If you use 3 White Mages to cast Holy while the other
one casts Cure3, you might get away without a GigaFlare attack. Another way to get him is
to get your Caller to use Odin as soon as the message " Powering up for GigaFlare
" appears, if you are fast enough, Odin will chop him to pieces. He can use a variety
of attacks such as Mind Blast, Gale Cut, Tidal Wave, etc... so be careful.
Gilgamesh Hp :
????? Weaknesses : None
Just beat up on him for a while, but cure since he can attack twice. He'll recognise Butz
and leave.
Necrophobia Hp : 44 044 Weaknesses : Everything
The first thing to do is to use Gp Toss to take out the 4 Barriers, cure often since
Necrophobia can cast Holy, Flare, Death, Fire3, Bolt3 and Ice3. Once the Barriers are
gone, use Holy on Necrophobia for best results, he can use Vaccum Wave when he's alone, so
look out and cure if needed. When he has less than 10 000 hp left, Gilgamesh appears and a
scene takes place ....
Well, that's it for the FF5 boss strategies, go see The Final Bosses section and see how to beat Exdeath.
Or go back .
