Mission 5B: Emperor's Fall (Birds of War)

Conditions for winning

Conditions for losing

As soon as you start the mission, you will see a bunch of Battlecruisers heading your way, hindered slightly by Turrets. But don't start panicking, wait until the Battlecruisers get close, and then some Dropships will arrive with Goliaths and Ghosts.

When the Battlecruisers actually get to your base, cast Lockdown with your Ghosts and use your Goliaths to finish them off with minimal losses. You should only lose a few Goliaths, if you indeed lose any units at all. Do this when the other Battlecruiser group arrives.

Repair any damaged Goliaths and start establishing your base, keeping a healthy quantity of Missile Turrets. When you have another 12 Goliaths or so, along with around 24 or 36 Marines, drive north and sweep the enemy Terran establishments off the west coast of the map. When you capture the resource spot in the northwest corner, get plenty of Turrets there and gather 12 Battlecruisers. You are going to beat Mengsk at his own game.

Send them slowly eastward and cast Yamato Gun on structures amd Battlecruisers you see. If any of your Battlecruisers get locked down, use the others as guards until it gets out. If your Battlecruisers are damaged greatly, send them back for repairs and keep going back and forth until you've taken a good chunk out of the enemy base.

Now you can get 6 Dropships loaded with Tanks and drop them, and move them along with your Battlecruisers, and continue east until Mengsk's Command Center gets destroyed.
