Weak effects
Cursed | Character actions fail 50% of the time. Cured by a Remove Curse spell or potion. |
Weak | Lowers character's combat ability. Cured by a Cure Weakness spell or potion. Can be caused by going too long without food or rest. |
Afraid | Lowers Intellect, Personality, and Accuracy by 50%. Raises Might and Speed by 20%. Cured by a Remove Fear spell. |
Drunk | Lowers Might, Intellect, Personality and Endurance by 50%, Accuracy by 90% and Speed by 80%. Doubles Luck. Cured by resting. |
Insane | Lowers Intellect and Personality by 90%. Raises Might by 100%, Endurance by 50%, and Speed by 20%. Cured by a Cure Insanity spell or potion. Can be caused by going too long without rest. |
Poison | Lowers Might, Endurace, Accuracy and Speed by 25%. Reduces combat efficency and lowers Hit and Spell Points to 50% maxmimum over time. Cured by a Cure Poison spell or potion. |
Diseased | Lowers Might, Endurace, Accuracy and Speed by 40%. Reduces combat efficency and lowers Hit and Spell Points to 50% maxmimum over time. Cured by a Cure Disease spell or potion. |
Moderate effects
Asleep | Character is asleep and cannot act. Cured by an Awaken spell or potion, resting, or by taking damage. One character will stay awake at all times. |
Poison | Lowers Might, Endurace, Accuracy and Speed by 50%. Lowers Intellect and Personality by 25%. Reduces combat efficency and lowers Hit and Spell Points to 33% maxmimum over time. Cured by a Cure Poison spell or potion. |
Diseased | Lowers Might, Endurace, Accuracy and Speed by 30%. Lowers Intellect and Personality by 40% Reduces combat efficency and lowers Hit and Spell Points to 33% maxmimum over time. Cured by a Cure Disease spell or potion. |
Paralyzed | Character has been paralyzed. Character cannot act. When all characters are paralyzed, party is defeated. Cured by a Cure Paralysis spell or potion. |
Unconcious | Character's Hit Points have fallen below 1, but not enough to die. Character cannot act. When all characters are unconcious, party is defeated. Cured by resting or healing the character's Hit Points above 0. |
Severe effects
Poison | Lowers Might, Endurace, Accuracy and Speed by 75%. Lowers Intellect and Personality by 50%. Reduces combat efficency and lowers Hit and Spell Points to 25% maxmimum over time. Cured by a Cure Poison spell or potion. |
Diseased | Lowers Might, Endurace, Accuracy and Speed by 90%. Lowers Intellect and Personality by 70%. Reduces combat efficency and lowers Hit and Spell Points to 25% maxmimum over time. Cured by a Cure Disease spell or potion. |
Dead | Character's Hit Points have fallen too low and has died. Character cannot act. When all characters are dead, party is defeated. Cured by a Raise Dead or Ressurection spell. |
Stoned | Character has turned to stone. Character cannot act. When all characters are stoned, party is defeated. Cured by Stone to Flesh potion or spell. |
Eradicated | Character has died, and the body was destroyed. Character cannot act. When all characters are eradicated, party is defeated. Cured by a Ressurection spell. |
Other effects
Zombie | Reduces Intellect and Personality by 99%, reduces Accuracy and Speed by 50%. Character cannot rest and is injured by healing spells. Can only be cured at temples. If a Reanimate spell is cast on a dead character, the result is a Zombie. Some temples may use Reanimate on dead, Eradicated, or Stoned characters. |
