The Ghost can render himself invisible to other non-detector beings and structures, and therefore give himself an advantage for whatever purposes it has in mind. This is especially helpful if you want to try a tactical Nuclear Strike.

The Ghost can fire a shell loaded with energy that immobilizes mechanical units, air or ground, for a short period of time, making them very vulnerable to attack.

Nuclear Strike

After calling a Nuclear Strike on a spot, the Ghost paints the spot with a red laser for several seconds and a "Nuclear Launch Detected" is displayed on the screen of all players. During this time, the Ghost is vulnerable to any sort of attack. If the Ghost is killed before he finishes indicated the strike, the strike is cancelled and the nuke lost. However, if the nuke hits, all units and/or in the area receive 500 points of damage or 2/3 of their total hit points, whichever one the greater.
Description:
Ghosts may be slow-building, but their spells make up for this when they arrive. Posessing Lockdown and Personal Cloaking, they can help you greatly in the battlefield. However, nuking is their most celebrated ability, and should be used with care.
