| The game opens with a beautiful movie, ending with Sora (thats you from now on) landing on a stained glass portrait of Snow White. A mysterious voice speaks to you telling you how to move, and what to do next. Follow the directions of the voice. Choose a weapon to keep(what you will fight with in this area) and a weapon to sacrifice, your choice determines your starting statistics. |

| Know that you have a weapon its time to use it and learn how to fight, practive your skills on the Shadows that appear. After dispatching the lil ink smudges examine the door that just appeared, this will make a treasure chest appear. Open the chest to recieve...nothing..but a crate appears (remember this is basically a teaching area...but you can still die so don't get cocky). Oooohhh a crate...you can move them very easily, so go move it a bit till you are prompted to target it and destroy it...brake it, its fun. You get a Potion for doing the fun little deed. Also a barrel has just appeared, walk up to it and Lift it when your command changes to Lift. Most boxes and barrels smaller than Sora can be lifted up and thrown. Examine the door again...

| Now its time for a quick trip to the Destiny Islands to meet, some familiar faces. Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie await you in Destiny Island. Speak to each of them and answer their question. Depending on how you answer their questions, you will determine the pace of your advancement. For those of you who are not familiar with the characters mentioned here, Tidus is the boy with the uneven shorts and the open shirt, Wakka is the boy with the orange hair and blue bandanna (he is also holding a blitzball), and Selphie is the girl in the yellow dress. |

| Back the the weird dark place fight some more Shadows for some experience...ooohhh a save point, use it. Save points completely refill your HP and MP so use them to your advantage, you can also save when standing on them, save often, Kingdom Hearts can get tricky at times, especially if you are on Expert Mode. Anyway, after saving run up the ramp to the Belle platform(once you go up there is no going back so make sure you are ready), it is here that you experience your first boss battle...Darkside... |

| Concentrate on the big guys hands, he is really alot easier than he looks, basically, just lock on to one of his hands get close and when his hands drop close enough for you to jump and attack, do so and continue to attack the hand until they move out of range again. The only problem with this is that he will shoot energy at Sora when his hands get low to the platform, just try and dodge it while attacking, Darkside is a very easy boss. He will occasionally release energy into the platform releasing Shadows. If you are low on HP destroy the Shadows to release HP balls which will restore your HP. Once you defeat Darkside this little area is over and Sora awakens on a beach near Kairi...welcome to the Destiny Islands. |
