| After a fight between Sora and Donald on the Gummi ship, Sora gets seperated from both Donald and Goofy and lands by himself in Deep Jungle, with the most friendliest of welcome parties...a boss fight. | ||||||||||||||
| Sabor [HP)90] [EXP)15] | ||||||||||||||
| The first thing which must be noted about this little leopard is that he is like any cat, speed, reflexes very quick. As soon as the battle starts you will notice his speed, use Dodge Roll to avoid his attacks while you try and get in some of your own. When Sabor hunches down slightly he is preparing to launch himself forward, so make sure you are ready with a Dodge Roll. The farther away you can get from him, the better chance you can dodge his attacks. There is no prize for defeating Sabor at this point in the game, and it should also be noted that you do not have to defeat him to continue the story, it will go on whether you win or lose. | ||||||||||||||
| The Monkey Man | ||||||||||||||
| After your battle with Sabor, whether you won or lost, you will be introduced to Tarzan, as he very courageously saves your little butt. After the saving Tarzan and Sora intorduce each other, in the purest way possible, grunts and hellos...After the introductions follow Tarzan to the edge of the tree house and do as he does and...jump!!! Don't worry anywhere you jump from will land you in the same spot next to the loinclothed one. Use the Save Point nearby and use the low platform near the Save Point to reach a ledge overhead with a chest on it, open the chest to obtain a Mega-Ether. You can now choose one of two ways to get to the Campsite area of Deep Jungle. If you use the top exit you will go to the Treetop area where you can begin to learn how to swing on the vines like the greats do. This also takes you through more of Deep Jungle allowing you to obtain some more items. Or you could chose to jump into the low tree stump and have some real fun tree surfing just like Tarzan. If you choose to tree surf you will go directly into the Campsite area. Also with tree surfing, you cannot fall off the tree, and you can jump like normal with "O" and also if you are in the air you can attack like normal with "X" to break branches which could hit you and cause you to lose some HP. | ||||||||||||||
| Once inside the Campsite, head into the tent to meet Jane and Clayton. Also it is here that you will be reunited with both Donald and Goofy. After a little discussion, you must choose your party for the first time. Currently leave Donald and Goofy in your party as there is a Blue Trinity Mark outside and only Sora, Donald and Goofy together can activate Trinity Marks. The chest inside the tent contains a Mythril Shard. Use the save point to recover and save, then speak to Jane once again. | ||||||||||||||
| Outside the tent in the campsite, activate the Blue Trinity Mark with Donald and Goofy, to get a chest containing Dalmations 34, 35 & 36. There is a barrel near the clothesline on the far side of camp, break it open for a Potion and HP Balls. Now look around the Campsite, and locate the Recipe and Research Notes there are two recipe cars and three Research Notes. Once the two Recipes are found go back to the stove and examine it. Sora will automatically place a Potion in the pot, hit the stove to open it up, the lock onto the inside of it and blast it with a Fire spell. Doing this will change your Potion into a Hi-Potion. After finding all three Research Notes, return to the table with the chemistry equipment on it. Place a Potion in the Beaker, then lock onto the Beaker and freeze it with a Blizzard spell. This will transform your single Potion into two Ethers. | ||||||||||||||
| After playing cook and scientist, its time to get back to the quest at hand...finding Jane's missing slides. Now her slides have been scattered all over the Campsite. There are a total of six slides to find. First off look next to the chalk drawing of Tarzan to find Slide 3. Next go to the center of camp to the stack of crates, you will find Slide 4 on top of them. Now head over to the tent and the pile of luggage next to it, on top of the luggage you will find Slide 6. Now jump atop the tent to find Slide 1. After this slide jump over to the top of the canvas running along the wall of camp, land on it and follow it to the end, there you will find Slide 5. Now jump down and find Slide 2 underneath the canvas where you found slide 5. Once you have all six slides head back into the tent to view them. After viewing them all Clayton convinces Sora that his Rikku and Kairi are with the gorrillas in the nesting grounds. Tarzan agrees to take the party there to search for them. This would be a good time to place Tarzan in your party. He is a great asset in fighting the heartless in Deep Jungle. It's up to you, who you want to leave out of your party, I always seem to choose Donald except in some instances. Make sure you save and heal your characters before leaving the tent, becasue when you leave Sabor is waiting for you. | ||||||||||||||
| Sabor [HP)90] [EXP)15] | ||||||||||||||
| Now that the party is complete again there should be no problem taking down Sabor. Just remember that he will hunch slightly down when preparring to dash across the screen. Tarzan also helps alot in this fight, so make sure to place him in the party. You still win nothing for defeating Sabor except a lousy 15 EXP. | ||||||||||||||
| In Search of the Nesti...err..Items | ||||||||||||||
| After Sabor runs into the thicket, you go the other way into the Hippo's Lagoon. Once in the Hippo's Lagoon, jump onto the back of the hippo in the first pond, then from here jump to the next piece of land. Now dive into the water and swim over to the embankment where you can climb out of the water. Once out of the water jump across treetops to the left until you reach a treasure chest containing a Mega-Potion. After collecting your new item switch to the first person POV and find the highest treetop which has a chest on it. Line up yourself correctly and switch back to third-person POV now jump, now you will not make this jump normally, you must hit "X" just as you are about to miss the mark(the treetop) this will give you an extra "umph" to make it there. Open the chest there to get the Esuna-G, and now fall down to the small islet below you. From here make long jumps to the hippo's back and then to the opposite shore to release Dalmations 25, 26 &27 from thier chest. | ||||||||||||||
| Now there are two vines in the Hippo's Lagoon that take you up to the Vines area of Deep Jungle. Use the one near the entrance to the Lagoon. Once there use the Save Point to restore and save from your fight with Sabor, also switch out Tarzan if he is in your party. After a breif instructional chat on how to swing on the Vines(basically move Sora to the edge of the tree branch he will auto target the vine, select "Jump On" and he will do so, then as you swing Sora will auto target other vines and to swing to them just hit "Jump On" again, and when Sora gets to a tree branch "Jump On" switches to "Jump Off" select it to do so.) Swing from vine to vine until you get to a tree branch in the middle of the screen. From here look around in the First person POV to find a chest to the right of the parties location. Use the vines to swing over there and get yoruself a Mythril. Now jump onto the vine on the other side of the chest and swing over some treetops now turn around and look for a branch that goes between two trees and under another branch swing there to get into the Vines 2 area. | ||||||||||||||
| Once in the Vines 2 area Tarzan will speak with Kerchak the head of the gorillas. After there conversation Kerchak will leave towards the Tree House(where Sora came in to Deep Jungle at). Now you will want to grab the first vine and swing over to the nearest platform and jump from branch to branch until you can get to the chest with Dalmations 28, 29 & 30 in it. Now return to the platform you last swung to. And line up so that the vines you swing on take you to a platform far off to the left of the spot where your party is waiting. Once there you can climb another vine into the next area. | ||||||||||||||
| In this next area you are in a treetop with three exits. If you follow the slope up to the top right side of the room you will find a Blue Trinity Mark, activate it, if you have both Donald and Goofy in your party to set free Dalmations 31, 32 & 33. After using the Blue Trinity Mark, leave the area, by using the exit right nearest your location(next to the Mark) and return to the Tree House. After witnessing a scene, leave the tree house and follow the path that takes you back to the Climbing Trees Area, instead of going back there though, jump off the edge to land in the Cliffs area, where Sabor is lurking in wait. | ||||||||||||||
| Sabor [HP)90] [EXP)15] | ||||||||||||||
| This battle with Sabor is the same as the others before it, just dispatch the foolish leopard before e causes to much pain to the party. Also it should be noted that, this battle can be re-fought any number of times before you finally kill Sabor in the next fight with him. Every time you jump from the Tree House path into the Cliffs area you will fight Sabor. This is a good way to gain experience for your characters if you have the patience to travel far for 15 EXP a fight. | ||||||||||||||
| After Sabor runs off into the Bamboo Thicket, climb the vines on either side of the back cliff wall, to reach a higher ledge where you will find two chests, one with a Mega-Potion, the other containing a Mythril Shard. Now return to the Campsite by going through the Bamboo Thicket and into the Campsite. Return to the tent, make sure you save and heal up. Also now would be a great time to add Tarzan back into your party if he isn't already. The Heartless are about to invade Deep Jungle. | ||||||||||||||
| After leaving the tent you will see a gorilla surrounded by a new type of Heartless, the Powerwilds. These monkey-like heartless are very quick, so make sure you lock on and attack with furious frenzy to take them out before they take you out. Having Tarzan in your party from now on makes it alot easier to fight the Heartless in Deep Jungle. After saving the gorilla, you will receive a Protect-G. Now head into the Bamboo Thicket to save another gorilla, this time you will receive a Fire-G. Now keep following the path and head back into the Cliffs area, where another gorilla is in need of saving, this time you receive a Aeroga-G. Now you want to go back through the areas you just cleared and go to the Climbing Trees area and the Tree House to save the last two gorillas. On your way there you may notice the orage BouncyWilds, they are quick and devious, try to take them out as soon as possible (they run most of the time) if you can beat them, they will drop large amounts of munny. For rescueing the gorillas in the Climbing Trees and the Tree House area you will receive another Aeroga-G and a Shell-G. After rescueing all the gorillas, return to the Campsite to speak with Jane. | ||||||||||||||
| After speaking with Jane, head out of the tent to hear a shot from Clayton's gun. Make sure you save and have Tarzan in your party. Now head to the Bamboo Thicket where you will find Clayton's pipe on the tree stump, get ready, because Sabor is about to ambush you! | ||||||||||||||
| Sabor [HP)180] [EXP)150] | ||||||||||||||
| This is it, the final battle with Sabor, this battle is just like the others you have fought, with the only difference being Sabors increase in HP. Just wittle him down while dodging his attacks at the same time. Once he falls for the last time he will drop 10x his previous EXP and a White Fang accessory. | ||||||||||||||
| The Rescue | ||||||||||||||
| After finally finishing off Sabor for good, you will see a quick little shot of somehting going wrong back at the Campsite, with Jane and Terk(the gorilla you saved at the camp). Before heading back to camp head to the Cliffs area and take out the Powerwilds that are there, also you may wish to figh teh Bouncywilds up on the ledge for some munny. Now return to the Campsite, by battling the Heartless evrey step of the way. Once you return to camp, you will now meet a new type of Heartless, the White Mushrooms. These Heartless are completely harmless, actually when you see these guys you should smile. If you want to know more about them head to the Secrets page, if your lucky and have the right spells you could be on your way to a fortune. Now after playing with your new Heartless friends, enter the tent to find out that both Jane and Terk are gone. Tarzan seems to think he knows where they are, so follow his instincts and go to the Tree House. | ||||||||||||||
| Head back through the Hippo's Lagoon and the Vines area to get to Climbing Trees. It is here that Jane and Terk are held captive by the Heartless. There is an endless supply of Powerwilds in this area, so you may want to use this time to get some EXP and level up a bit, but when you feel it is time to keep the story flowing, lock onto anything and keep hitting L2 until you lock onto the large black fruit on the center tree, jump up and attack it continuously until it is destroyed. Once the fruit is gone Jane and Terk are freed. Jane now tells Tarzan that it was Clayton who kidnapped them, and that he wants to hunt down and capture all the gorillas. It is now time to head back to the Campsite and use the Save Point to heal and save. Once you are ready head out of the Campsite and into the Bamboo Thicket. | ||||||||||||||
| Clayton [HP)250] [EXP)240] & Powerwilds [HP)30] [EXP)4] | ||||||||||||||
| This is more of a preliminary Boss encounter. As soon as you can, lock onto Clayton and rip him apart. Once he gets down to about half his life, he will end the fight. Now comes the real Boss battle. | ||||||||||||||
| Clayton [HP)250] [EXP)240] & Stealth Sneak [HP)750] [EXP)30] | ||||||||||||||
| This is the real Boss fight of Deep Jungle. And it is quite a tough one. At the start of the fight the cliff walls exploded and Clayton mounts an invisible Heartless. The best strategy is to target the Stealth Sneak and attack it physically until it becomes visable. Once this occurs use the same tactics as before in the Sabor fights, this boss does the same hunch, then dash manuever that Sabor was fond of doing, so make sure you are always ready to dodge the attack. The Stealth Sneak also has an attack consisting of large energy blasts which can really hurt the party. It is very hard to dodge these so do your best. While Clayton is on top of Stealth Sneak you can use the Thunder spell to hit both of them at the same time. Once Clayton dismounts the Heartless, he will stand off to the side and fire his gun at Sora and the party. This may be annoying, but try to leave Clayton until after the large Heartless has been dealt with. Also worth noting is the fact that once Clayton dismounts the beast it will rear up on its hind legs to indicate it is about to charge, again be prepared with Dodge Roll. Once you have beaten the Stealth Sneak turn your attention to Clayton. Take him out with Fire spells and combos. Once both have met their demise Sora and Donald get the Cure spell. | ||||||||||||||
| Way to go you have saved Deep Jungle...for the time being, but to really save it, you must lock its keyhole, as you did Wonderland. After defeating Clayton and his Heartless friends, Kerchak will thank you by tossing everyone ontop of the new ridge. Head into the Waterfall Cavern nearby, keep going into the cavern until the camera rotates itself behind the party, then find a chest on the opposite ledge, hop across the rocks to get to it, and get yourself a Mythril Shard. From the ledge you are currently on, turn around and switch to first person POV and locate the chest on the ledge above you, jump and grab onto the ledge and flip up, open the chest and get a Shell-G. Now turn around and look up to see a ledge covered in moss, jump up and grab that ledge, on top of it you will find a chest with a Mythril inside. Now move to the rock wall and use hte moss to climb sideways over to the next ledge. Open the chest to get the Orichalcum inside. Climb the vine next to where you got the last chest until you see a cliff pass behind you on the way up. When you see this ledge jump backwards onto it. Now hop from ledge to ledge and use the first person POV to find a path to the cavern way above the entrance. At the end of the top cave the party finds the Keyhole for Deep Jungle. Sora locks it just as he did Wonderland, sealing the heartless from ever harming the heart of this world. Also another Navi-G Piece falls from the Keyhole. | ||||||||||||||
| Now that Deep Jungle is locked its off to find out what the Navi-G Pieces are. Before leaving Tarzan gives Sora the Jungle King Keychain which can be equiped onto the keyblade to make it more powerful, and change its form, just like all the keychains. Also the group learns the Red Trinity. So head back to Traverse Town to play with your new skills and toys. |
